How to Choose a Professional Ayurveda Training Institute in Pune

Pune has a genuine concentration of Ayurveda and wellness training options, which makes choosing harder, not easier. Here's a practical checklist to work through before enrolling anywhere.

Ask exactly what the curriculum covers

Get the actual module list, not a marketing summary. A serious program will name its curriculum groups clearly — foundations, specific therapies, hygiene and protocols — and be able to describe what each one covers.

Check the practical-to-theory ratio

This is the single most important question. A program built around demonstration and supervised practice produces employable therapists; a lecture-heavy program with a token practical session does not. Ask directly for the daily schedule.

Look at where training actually happens

A training institute connected to an operating wellness environment — where students see real sessions prepared, delivered and documented — gives a different kind of exposure than a classroom-only setup. Ask whether the institute operates its own therapy environment or only teaches in a classroom.

Check batch size

Smaller batches mean more correction time per student during practical sessions. Ask how many students are typically in a batch.

Get eligibility, fees and certification in writing

Confirm eligibility requirements, the exact fee and what it includes (and doesn't — accommodation and food are often separate), and what the certificate actually represents, before you commit.

Visit if you can

Photos only tell you so much. If a program offers a campus tour, in person or virtual, take it.
