Ayurveda Therapist Course: Eligibility, Skills and Career Scope
Who can join an Ayurveda therapist course, what skills it should build, and where those skills are actually used afterward.

Both a weekend workshop and a full certification course can teach you something real about Ayurveda or wellness therapy — but they prepare you for very different things. Confusing the two leads to disappointment on both sides.
A workshop is usually a few days, focused on introducing one specific technique or topic. It's a genuinely useful way to sample a subject, build general wellness knowledge, or add a narrow skill if you're already working in an adjacent field. It is not, by design, enough hours of supervised practice to make someone employable as a therapist.
A professional therapist certification runs over weeks, not days, and moves through a full curriculum: foundational principles, multiple specific therapy modules, and — critically — enough supervised practice hours to build real procedural competence, alongside hygiene, protocol and client-handling training.
The clearest way to tell the two apart isn't the certificate on the wall, it's the number of supervised practice hours behind it. A few hours of demonstration is not the same as weeks of corrected, hands-on practice.
If you want to explore a topic, add a narrow skill, or aren't yet sure this is the career for you, a workshop is a reasonable low-commitment starting point. If your goal is employment as a therapist, you need a program built around full curriculum coverage and substantial supervised practice — a workshop alone won't get you there.
Ask directly: how many total hours, how many of those are supervised practice, and what does the certificate represent at the end. A program that answers plainly is one to trust.
